Even before I moved here, I visited SF and made my way up to the Russian River Valley a few times. Camping w/ Don, visiting our friend Jessica, traveling to see my aunt in Santa Rosa. When I moved here and realized that summer in the city can be cold, I also realized that canoeing or floating on the Russian River is a much needed respite. Plus the food in Healdsburg and wine tasting makes it a day trip that feels like a vacation.
