Bolinas

I came here for the first time yesterday and scolded myself for not making it here sooner. It's a quiet beach town (no signs along the road to get there), that lacks the traffic and noise of Stinson. The drive is beautiful -- replete with bald hills, blankets of wildflowers, redwoods, a lagoon, and the ridiculously cute towns of Point Reyes Station (a Cowgirl Creamery splurge was due), Olema, Ross and San Anselmo.
For a long time I didn't get Marin County. But I think that I get it now. I also came home with 4 different kinds of local artisan cheese that taken my salads to a whole new level. Yum!
